  • Cathy.. so sorry for your loss for both you and your family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in the days ahead. Bill was such a wonderful man who will be missed by us and many others.💕💕

  • It was an honor to have know Mr Hightower. I first meet him at merriton community centre for RC car racing. He helped me learn how to drive an RC car, and helped me become a good racer. He was a kind soul, always laughing. He will be greatly missed by everyone. My condolences to his family

  • RIP Hightower , you will be missed and thank you for all your guidance in this hobby we love. I’m sorry for the families loss.

  • Hightower has been an amazing presence for me, my wife and my brother. Since when I started racing in RC at Merriton, bill was the friendly giant whowas the first to greet everyone who entered, mainly cause he put by the entrance haha. It’s been a joy to race with Bill throughout the years. We would constantly be on the track together in the vta class. During the summer, he joined me in running oval at rose city. Furthermore Todd Mallory joined in making it a constant battle on the podium between the 3 of us. It came as a shock to me when I was told the news from Todd. He is going to be missed by not only myself, my wife and my brother but the whole RC community. Bill for the most part was a staple at Merriton and was always questioned when he wasn’t at the track those winter Sundays. It’s going to be alittle colder this winter season

  • I will miss you so incredibly much, Uncle Bill. You were a great and amazing person taken from us too early. You taught me so much in life but there’s still so much I want to talk with you about. Not having you around will leave a giant unfillable hole, but I will do my best to honor your memory and keep you alive in my heart. I hope you are at peace and I love you so much. Until we meet again…

  • My heart goes out to you Cathy🥹Thinking of you during this difficult time🤗 rest in peace Bill 🙏

  • Mike (Rouge) and Family,

Hightower will always be remembered by our family through the memories made during our RC racing years. He was always such a bright light who was full of love and humour. We have many fond memories of the great times shared together at the tracks. Although we haven’t seen each other in years, Hightower’s name has surfaced from time to time and we feel blessed to have known such a gentle giant! We are sad to read of his passing and are sending our love and prayers to Cathy, Mike and Charlene during this difficult time.

Kim, Mark and Linda Kirton and family
