TANNER JOHN SUPERKA

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Tanner John Superka on January 21, 2024 at the age of 20.

Loving son of Jeff and Denise Superka, and cherished brother of Carley Superka. Tanner will be missed by his grandparents Gary Knapman and Harriet and Brian Fluke. He will be lovingly remembered by his aunts and uncles Laurie and Marc Priestley, Brent and Suzanne Superka, Calvin Knapman, Lisa Fluke and Mark Brooks as well as his cousins Blake, Lee, Marc Jr., Melyssa, Nadine, Mya, and Gabe. Predeceased by his Nana and Papa John and Marion Superka. Tanner also leaves behind many of his beloved friends as well as his dog Molly.

Tanner was known for his strong work ethic, compassion, and loyalty. He inherited a passion for the North and loved spending time with his extended “cottage family”. Tanner was never one to speak poorly of anyone. He was someone who was always there to help his friends and family when they needed him.

Tanner was a dedicated employee of Anthony’s Excavating since high school. As a result of Tanner’s hard work he recently purchased a new truck which he was so proud of. Tanner had a need for speed, he enjoyed motocross, snowmobiling, and jet skiing with friends and family. Ultimately, Tanner passed away doing what he loved. He also enjoyed playing hockey throughout his life.

All will be welcomed to visit Tanner’s family on Friday February 2nd, 2024 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Bethany CRC, 1040 Balfour St Fenwick, ON L0S 1C0. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday February 3rd, 2024 at 11am at Bethany CRC. The service will be livestreamed by the church for those who are unable to come. In keeping with the family’s wishes, cremation will follow. Memorial donations in Tanner’s name to Pelham Cares or to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lampman Funeral Home. www.lampmanfuneralhome.com

  • Denise, Jeff and Carley…. we are so sorry for your loss. Tanner was not only our son’s best friend, but also an extended part of our family. His smile, his laugh and his personality lit up a room. He was such a genuine kid, solid and true right to his core. Fearless, motivated and driven to succeed, he was unstoppable. The memories and stories that he’s left behind will continue to light up rooms and his smile will never fade. Tanner will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. We will always cherish the memories.
