It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Paul Robert Shiels on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the age of 62.
Paul was the beloved husband of Jackie for 36 years and a devoted father to Devon & Hannah, and Paige.
He will be deeply missed by his family, including Lorraine & David, Steven & Carol, Margaret, Marlene & Wilbert, Randy & Diane, Sandra & Phil, Jon & Tanya, as well as many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
Paul thoroughly enjoyed time spent with family and loved creating lasting memories with them, especially during family vacations. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend whose love, generosity, and unwavering dedication to those he cared about will never be forgotten. Paul genuinely enjoyed golfing, watching sports, and sharing good times with family and friends.
Paul took great pride in his work as a carpenter with Stolk Construction. He always looked forward to returning to work and being with the guys whenever he had to take time away.
Paul will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Monday, June 14, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Riverside CRC, 74094 Wellandport Rd. Wellandport, ON L0R 2J0. A Celebration of Life will be held at the church on Tuesday, June 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
For those who cannot attend but would like to watch, the service will be livestreamed on the Riverside Christian Reformed Church YouTube channel.
