On 10 August 2026, at the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby, Doreen Brush, formerly
of Welland and Fonthill, in her 98th year. Dear mother of Kathryn (Kathy) Brush and Jean
Friesen (Thom), and beloved Nana of Michael, Mark, and Laura Friesen. Also deeply missed by
companion Jim McDonald and sister Marlyn McGee.
Predeceased by her husband Ross Brush;
twin brother Derwood Bulmer and sisters Freda Kelly, Orlee Dowsett, and Shirley Bunker; and
son-in-law John Shearman. Doreen will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews and
by her many friends whose lives were enriched by her sparky personality, perpetual good cheer,
and kind heart.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Chartwell Orchards in Vineland for their
care of Doreen during her last year.
Following Doreen’s wishes, cremation has occurred.
Visitation will take place from 2 to 4 pm on Friday 14 August 2026 at Lampman Funeral Home,
724 Canboro Rd., Fenwick (905-892-4701). In lieu of flowers, and in keeping with Doreen’s
