  • Chris was the brightest smile on Whitestone Lake, and her laughter and friendship will be dearly missed. Thank you Tom and all the Vernon’s for sharing you’re wonderful mom all these years, She brought joy to everyone that met her! Hugs Charna & the Kozole girls xo

  • Dear Tom and Family. I’m very sad to hear of Christine’s passing. My happiest memories of Christine began 34 yrs ago when we moved to Fonthill. Cox Home Hardware was our go/to store for almost everything and Christine was the smiling face at check out. She radiated happiness with her smile and laughter and always shared great stories about cruises on the Harley and vacations at the cottage. To me, Christine was the HOME in Cox Home Hardware.

  • Our sincere condolences to Tom and the Vernon family as well as to the Helsby family. Christine was truly an incredible woman, full of love, sincerity, and joy. Rest in Peace Cuz. Love Bill and Dawn

  • Dear Tom and Family, Dear Helsby Cousins,
While I extend my sincere condolences, please know how blessed and grateful I am to have been an integral aspect of Christine’s life. First as toddlers, later as teenagers, through adult and motherhood.
I recall with great joy our travels by train, girls night out, and more importantly, with great respect, asked to be bridesmaid at your Candlelight Wedding. Both breath taking and magical. Their candle, their flame… 50 years strong.

I sincerely admired my cousin; beautiful and self confidant; keen fashion sense. Christine always radiated positivity with her signature glowing smile… even through adversity.

Christine loved and embraced life. Her vibrant personality entrusted many friends.
May Christine’s cherished memories forever remain within all who knew and loved her.
Your Circle of Love is profound, dear cousin, Christine Elizabeth.

  • Dear Tom and family,
What a shock to hear of Chris’s passing! I remember the day she started to work at Home Hardware with me and how quickly she became such a valuable part of the staff. Chris knew all the answers because of helping you, Tom, with all your projects at home and at the cottage. So often she kept us in stitches laughing at her many stories. What a wonderful lady she was! I valued our friendship all the years we worked together and I know how very important each and every one of you were to her. Family was her life and you will miss her immensely. Wishing you strength to carry on in her absence and the comfort that will come from all the wonderful memories she made with you.

    With sincerest sympathy, Beth Armitage
