Jeffs Evelyn

Passed away on Sunday October 6, 2019, 8 days before her 104th birthday. Predeceased by her husband Clive on June 1, 1980 and her grandson Edwin on August 4, 1993. Beloved mother to Peter (Dona) and Jim (Sandy). Grandmother to David (Monica), Rob (the late Joanne), Lauren (Scott), Brian, Michael (Melinda), Christopher, Jenna and Ashley (James). Great Grandmother to Mitchell, Emma, Aerial, Nelaya, Samuel, Ella, Amber, Gordie, Thomas, Hunter and Ashton. Evelyn and her husband Clive owned and operated Jeffs Drug Store at 95 Niagara Street, St.Catharines for many years. Visitation will be held at Lampmans Funeral Home 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick on Tuesday October 8th from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. The service will be held at Lampman Funeral Home on Wednesday October 9th at 11:00 A.M. with friends being received from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:A.M. After the service friends and family are welcome to join us for a luncheon at the Fenwick United church at 1050 Church Street. Private interment will follow. Instead of flowers memorial donations can be made to the charity of ones choice. The family extends their gratitude to Dr.Dooler, the VONs, Paramed nurses, Visiting Angels and Shorthills Villa PSWs for their compassionate care.

GENA JEAN VANI

Vani Gena Jean

Passed away at St.Catharines General Hospital on Saturday September 14, 2019 in her 80th year. Loving mother of Paul, Peter (Vikkie), Angela Jervis (Jim) and Julia Ogrady (Mark). Dear Grandmother to Bella, Emma, Olivia, Mitchell, Jessica, Adrian and Jenny. Gena is survived by her sister Helen Lubas. Predeceased by her husband Adriano and her brothers Walter, John and Joseph Barron. Resting at the LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick for visitation on Tuesday September 17th from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Vigil Prayers will be held at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday September 18th at 11:00 A.M. at St. Anns Catholic Church in Fenwick. Cremation to follow.

RAYMOND KARDAS

Raymond Michael Kardas resident of Grand Prairie, Alberta, formerly of Fenwick, Ontario passed away suddenly on Thursday August 22nd at the age of 66. Ray was born and raised in Fenwick. For the past 38 years Ray taught Physical Education courses at GPRC in Grand Prairie, Alberta. Ray held a masters degree in both PE and Religious Studies. He attended St. Thomas U, U Ottawa and McGill U. Ray was a man of fire. His passion whether positive or negative was always apparent. He loved nature and in particular birds. He could often be seen through the window joyfully chatting with the birds. Ray was a very hard worker who loved his family and home particularly working on his yard. He was dynamic, interesting, funny, responsible, loving and had a heart of gold. You were wise if you took his advice as he was so often right. He was a newspaper junky and an avid reader. He loved to travel, particularly to the South Pacific and Cook Islands, always meeting new people. Sadly missed by his wife Dale of 34 years, his 98 year old mother Anne, his son  Nick and daughter Zoe as well as many relatives including Shawn and dear friends including John and Debbie, Frank and Theresa, Burk and Claudia, Dennis and Rick. He was predeceased by his brother John and father Walter. Resting at the LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick for visitation in the Lampman Chapel on Tuesday August 27th from 7-9 P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anns Catholic Church in Fenwick on Wednesday August 28th at 11:00 A.M. Cremation to follow.

Latham George

Passed away at his late residence in Welland on Monday August 19, 2019 at the age of 67. Reunited with wife Wendy Latham. Loving father of Michelle (Mike), Cassie (Pete), Crystal (Derek) and Catie (Randy). Dear Grandfather to Madison, Mackenzie, Nick, Meadow, Dylan, Myli, Macy and Max. He also leaves behind his partner over the last 13 years April Schneider. Her children Micheal, Lance and Alex along with Grandchildren Isabell, Jade, Patience, Danika, Savahanna and Phoenix. He will be greatly missed by his brothers and sisters Elly, Pat, Alex, Jim and Clayton. Predeceased and reunited with his parents George and Thelma Latham, sisters Sharon, Sheryl and Evelyn and Grandchildren Tyler, Montana, Sophie and Dexter. He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday August 24th at 3:00 P.M. at the Queens Hotel in Port Colborne.

Passed away at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga on Saturday August 17, 2019 in his 101st year. Loving father of John (Debra), Heather Curnew, Jacqueline Gierzak (Eugene), Monique VanTeunenbroek (Mark) and Michele VanTeunenbroek (Barry). Dear Grandfather to 6 and Great Grandfather to 41/2. Resting at the LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick for visitation in the LAMPMAN CHAPEL on Tuesday August 20th from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Ken passed away at Welland Hospital Saturday July 27, 2019 in his 82nd year. Ken will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife Donna and children George (Sue), Kathy, Craig (Tanawan) and Kelly also by his grandchildren Andrew, Cortlin, Luke, Matthew (Lee-Ann) Curtis, Lacey, Zachary, Alexander, Alina, Jerry, Sean, Garret and Jake. Papa to great grandchildren Emma, Issac, Owen Arthur, Patience and Owen. Ken is survived by his brother Glenn (Joyce) and sister Myrna Angle. Predeaced by his son Michael, Parents Walter and Ruby, Brother Murray, sister-in-law Brenda, brother-in –law Lyle. Visitation at Lampmans Funeral Home Fenwick, Friday Aug 2nd 1pm, service at 2pm followed by interment at Pleasant View Memorial Gardens, Fonthill. Martin Lee
Passed away on June 21, 2019, at the age of 36. Loving father of Scott, Hannah and Addison. Partner to Kara Pepper. Lee will be sadly missed by his parents Theresa and Mike Wedekind., brother Tony (Venessa) and sister Brette Shatkosky (Aaron), nieces Nala, Belle, Aurora and nephew Oliver. Also by Grandparents Sharon Robbins (late Murray) and Norma Wedekind (late Bill). Lee will be greatly missed by his extended family. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. A trust fund has been set up. Donations may be made to Michael and Theresa Wedekind in trust for Grandchildren or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Passed away at Northland Pointe in Port Colborne on Friday June 7, 2019 at the age of 94. Loving mother of Gerald (Gisele), Pearl Collard, Carolyn Beck, Muriel Murtaugh, Edna Boyes and Rick (Susan). Alice will be sadly missed by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Archie Collard, son Harold, daughters Ann and Nancy, sons in law Gordon Beck, Gary Murtaugh and Paul Boyes. Funeral service will be held at Be in Christ Church 53007 Perry Road, Wainfleet on Tuesday June 11th at 12:00P.M. Visitation will take place from 10:00 until time of service. Interment at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Wainfleet will follow. The family would like to extend a special thankyou to the staff at Northland Pointe for their care and compassion shown to mom.
