AYDEN PETER GARNER

Ayden Peter Garner, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend passed from this life tragically and accidentally on August 17, 2023 at the age of 19.
He is survived by his parents, Byron and Erika Garner, brother Kyler, grandparents, Pete and Karen Veldhuizen and Hilma Zwaagstra. Great grandparents Bill and Jenny Vanderveen. Girlfriend Xiyler Loyer, and many Aunts, Uncles and cousins who love and miss him dearly.
He is predeceased by his grandfather Brian Garner and cousin Cassandra Post.
Ayden was born in Fonthill, Ontario and later moved with his family to Fenwick.
Our hearts are broken as we celebrate this amazing young man.
He is a social guy with many friends, he lit up a room when he walked in. Ayden’s kind heart and sense of humor will forever be in our hearts.
His passion is fishing and being up north enjoying God’s creation. He sees the beauty in the little things around him. That incredible smile never left his face when he was enjoying nature. It was his happy place.
He loves watching and playing hockey and cheering his favorite team, the Dallas Stars.
And what a movie buff!
We are comforted by the knowledge that he is in Heaven with his Lord Jesus Christ, where one day we have the assurance that we will meet again.
Rest In Peace dear Ayden.
Visitation will take place on Friday, August 25, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Bethany Christian Reformed Church, 1040 Balfour Road, Fenwick, Ontario. A service celebrating his life will take place on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 11:00 am at Bethany Christian Reformed Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to “All Ontario Youth Convention” (AOYC) by etransfer to info@bethanycrc.ca with a note in the memo.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lampman Funeral Home.

  • We met Ayden when he first started playing hockey him and Gavin were on the same Pee Wee team. We had a great team that year I believe we came in second in the championship. We got to know Erica and Byron throughout hockey season. We send our condolences to you and your family. Ayden will be forever in our hearts ❤️

  • I only knew Ayden for a few years, but he was one of my favourite people. We were project partners in our high school horticulture class. He made that class so fun, always cracking jokes, and trying to trade the teachers tools in exchange for his phone when it was taken. We would often bond over music and shoes. He was always there for me when I needed to vent, when I needed advice, or just for a good laugh. I’ll miss our FaceTime calls and car rides. Ayden was a beautiful soul and will be missed by so many❤️

  • I am so very sorry for your loss.
We went to Wellington Heights together and he was full of joy and light. Ayden was an amazing man and made me feel so welcomed when I first came to W.H. Ayden was a great friend and I am so lucky and blessed I had the chance to meet him. He will be remembered in our hearts forever. I will keep your family and friends in my thoughts and prayers.
I am unable to make it to his Celebration of Life but I will be there in thought and spirit.
