IFTODY, EVA – passed away with family by her side on Saturday February 28, 2015 at Maple Park Lodge in Fort Erie, in her 80th year. Loving sister of Pat (Robert), Sam (Margaret) and Mike (Barbara), and sister in law Shirley. Auntie Eve will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, and special nephew George who was a great support and care provider for the past 5 years. Predeceased by parents Steve and Georgina, brothers George, Bill and John, and sister in law Helen. Eva was a Registered Nurse and worked in Niagara Falls NY for 10 years, then returned home to continue her career at the Welland County General Hospital until she retired in 1992. Her most gratifying part of her life was co-owner of Hollo-Maple Farms and her four legged pal Rocky. Eve’s family wish to thank Dr.Scher and all the staff of Maple Park Lodge for the care and compassion provided.

DANIELS, CLYDE EDWARD – December 8, 1928 – February 11, 2015. Clyde was born in Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia. He moved to Pelham where he found a job at a canning factory and then at E. S. Fox. Clyde worked at E. S. Fox for many years as a sheet metal mechanic and didn’t hang up his tools until he was 70. Predeceased by his wife Shirley (2001) and brothers Harold and Clarence. Father to Mary Ann Fee (Jeffrey), Sharon, and Tracy Osborne-Ringler (Terry). Clyde was a resident of Ridgeville until he was 85, then moved to the Orchards Retirement Residence for the past year and a half. Brother to Helene MacCartney, Scarborough, Alice Fraser, Hopewell Nova Scotia, and Joyce Gill, Anaheim California. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME, 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick on Saturday February 14, 2015 from 11:00 to 12:30 P.M. A Memorial Service will follow at 12:30 P.M. August 24, 1943- February 2, 2015. I have been sitting here for two days trying to find the right words…for those who know me, it truly isn’t often I am at a loss. We lost our Mom – a lady who never wanted any acknowledgement, never uttered an unkind word or screamed in frustration at what life would throw at her along the way. Lucy was the oldest of nine children born to Jeanne and Alphonse Bisson. Here is where I have decided to start. First came Lucille (Predeceased by Carl 2005), Patrick (Shirley). Sue (John Bouchard), Emile (Debi), Rita (Marty Buziak), Moe (Lorraine), Rene (Jill), Irene (Louis Frado), Jeanne (Dave Liebrock), many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by Tantes Cecile Labonte , Antoinette Turmel & Maryanne Mazerole and families. She leaves behind her children Joseph and Colette McCoy and Ellen-Marya Rhora (Mike) and her “Two BOYZ” Drew and Ryan. Predeceased by her youngest daughter; Carole Angeline (2003). She was an avid reader, crossword puzzle enthusiast and she always had a puzzle on the go.She sold Avon (President Club member for every year), worked at Lanark, A&P, and retired from the Welland Tribune in 2003. Mom became ill last fall. She would be coming home requiring care. For an independent, private lady this was a lot to digest. But her siblings and her children showered her with all of the TLC she so willingly gave of herself throughout her life. During this time we were invaded by these wonderful visiting angels- sent through CCAC these ladies became her daily dose of sunshine! I apologize in advance if I miss any one person(s): Paula, Leah, Kim, Laurie, Bev, Luty, Christine, Darlene, Danielle, Lisa, Liz, Colleen, Sherry, Donna and James. For the laughter, the tears, respect, and hugs never can we ever repay you for your compassion and love you gave to Lucy. Each and every one of you brought your best to her. You gave her the opportunity to live her last days on her terms and kept me on track when my emotions would get the best of me. The staff of the St. Catharine’s General from ER through all of the floors we visited, Welland County General from ER thru to the 6th floor staff, Dr. Torigian, Lisa, Dr. Dooler, Sue NP, Shopper’s in Fonthill each and every one of you made this time at home with mom so seamless. There are no words… what all of you bring to families is hope that all will be as it should. To Mom’s siblings – surrounding her with the love she deserved, letting her know that she counted. Merci, Beaucoup! The stories, memories and laughter and tears- Je T’Aime. All of our friends and neighbors again thank you! The ladies at First Ontario, Fitch Street Giant Tiger, The Bookstore, and The Wainfleet Public Library – what Mom referred to as her little outings, she enjoyed talking with each and every one of you! You made her days pleasant. And finally, Joe, Colette, Drew, Ryan and Mike for stepping back and giving me the opportunity to love and care for my Mom throughout this final stage of her life. It took a lot to convince her but I am so glad that we did. She was a quiet, compassionate person, her family was everything to her. She wanted no visitation. Arrangements are with Lampman-Muir Funeral Home in Fenwick. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held in Lucy’s Honor on St. Ann Catholic Church in Fenwick Saturday, February 14 at 10:30 AM. A private family interment will take place at Pleasantview Memorial in the spring. Donations can be made in Lucy’s name to Sick Children’s Hospital Childhood Cancer Foundation.
