WALTER GLENN LEAVENWORTH ROBBINS

With heavy hearts, we announce that Glenn Robbins passed away with family by his side on February 10, 2026,  at the age of 93 years.

Glenn was predeceased by his parents Walter and Ruby Robbins, his brothers Ken and Murray Robbins, and his sister and brother- in-law, Myrna and Lyle Angle.

Loving Dad of Colin (Valentina) Robbins, Janice (Marty) Graf, Dawn (Bill) Crandall, David (Marianne) Robbins, Susan Robbins, Heather (Dan) Soares.

Proud Grandpa of 11 grandchildren, and Great- Grandpa of 9 great- grand children.

He will be remembered by sisters-in-law, Donna and Sharon Robbins, brother-in-law Robert McClellan and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He enjoyed regular visits by his dog, Maggie, and other family pets.

Dad was a kind and thoughtful man, but also fiercely stubborn right through to his final days.  He was a lifetime resident of Fenwick Ont. He worked at Robbins Feed & Fuels, a family business started by his father. As an oil burner mechanic and truck driver, he was often called on weekends or the coldest night of the winter to repair a broken furnace or deliver fuel to an empty tank. He eventually owned the business until his retirement.

With a farming background on both the Robbins and Beamer families, Dad always had a garden that produced way more than needed. He had plenty of planting and harvesting tips to pass on. He loved to go fishing, and on family vacations to Port Loring, he’d be up at the crack of dawn to “get out there when they’re biting”.

In his later years, Dad completed a woodlot management course and began felling trees and stacking cords of firewood from his bush.  He spent many happy hours, in all kinds of weather in the bush with friends John, Trevor and Darren helping with the work.  He continued to bring in wood for the woodstove into his 90th year. He truly appreciated the outdoors and the natural beauty of the trees and wildlife living there.

Dad, you’ll be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Our family would like to express appreciation to the Palliative Care Doctor and nurses, the staff of Shorthills Retirement Home and Hospice Niagara-Walker House for their care and compassion.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place.  A Visitation will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. at Lampman Funeral Home, 724 Canboro Rd, Fenwick, Ontario with Words of Remembrance at 2:30 p.m.
