Passed away peacefully at the Niagara Health – Port Colborne Complex Care at the age of 93.
Survived by his wife of 72 years, Marilyn Isobel Joyce (Smith), and daughters Pat
(Rob) Ivany, Brenda Hogan and Karen (Dan) Saint-Laurent. Also survived by grandchildren
Amanda (Darcy) Huot, Kristin (Marc) Proulx, Arienne Saint-Laurent, Richard Saint-Laurent and great grandchildren Noah Huot, Jacen Huot, Finlay Huot, Rosabelle Proulx and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, John and Pearl Kowalski, infant brother Peter, brothers Mike Kowalski, George Kowalski, sisters Mary Rosinski, Anne Rosinski and son-in-law Dan Hogan.
In 2018, Victor was inducted into the Thorold Runway of Recognition as pitcher in the Port Robinson Jr. B 1950 0ASA Champion Softball Team. He was an avid Toronto Maple Leaf’s and Toronto Blue Jay’s fan. He was born in Fenwick, Ontario and married his childhood sweetheart, Marilyn, in 1953. They made their home in Welland in 1959 and lived in the same home until his death.
Victor was a welder all of his life working for Standard Steel, James United and then retired after 26 years in 1997 from E. S. Fox in Niagara Falls, Ontario. He often mentioned how much he enjoyed and respected working for Fox.
Victor was an active member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in the area and served as an elder for many years.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at the Niagara Health – Port Colborne Complex Care for their exceptional kindness and care.

I will miss our hockey and baseball talks. How you could remember all those stats, I’ll never know.
