Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton on February 23, 2026 in her 102nd year. Daughter of the Late James and Florence Johnston of Wellandport. Mom was predeceased by her 5 brothers and 5 sisters. Predeceased by her husband Arthur of 66 years and her son Jerry.
Mother of Martin (Jean) of Stoney Creek, Rick (Joan) of Tillsonburg, Bruce (Gina) of Welland and Doug of Dundas. Survived by sisters in law Marilyn Chambers of Ridgeville and Betty Padereski of Kitchener, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jean was a stay at home Mom, so as kids and even when we were married, we always had home cooked meals and wonderful baking. Later, Mom and Dad began to take in foster children. Many young boys and girls were able to enjoy a safe and comfortable home.

All will be welcome to visit with Jean’s family on Friday, February 27, 2026 from 11am to 1pm at Lampman Funeral Home, 724 Canboro Rd, Fenwick. A Funeral Service will take place in the chapel at 1pm with interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Wellandport.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lampman Funeral Home.
