Passed away at Port Colborne Hospital on Tuesday May 15, 2018. George Alsop of Fenwick in his 91st year. Loving husband to Berniece. Dear father of Jarrett P. (Marlene), G. Rory and Robin L.D. Alsop (Byron Sheldrick). Loving Grandfather to Melanie, David, Lachlan and Morag. Great Grandfather to Connor and Penelope. Predeceased by siblings Bill, Don and Barbara. George was a long time farmer, employee of John Deere Welland and he was also Deputy Reeve of Fenwick Village Council and was Vice Chairman of the last local school board. Respecting Georges wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Fenwick United Church on Wednesday May 23rd at 11:00 A.M.Visitation will be at the LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick on Tuesday May 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Donations to Fenwick United Church or The Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Duda Eileen
Passed away at Port Colborne Hospital on Wednesday April 18, 2018 in her 89th year. Proud mother of Lorraine and Gordon (Candace). Doting Grandmother of five and Great Grandmother to eight. Ever sweet Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Survived by a loved and loving family, brother Alex Strychalski (Fran) and sister Mary Balogh (Joe). Eileen married Adam in 1947 and began her family soon after. She was a loving and supportive wife and mother. A life long family care giver (and grandchildren would say “Grandmother Extraordinare ” ). She cared deeply for family, friends and neighbours. She remained a member of St. John Fellowship Lincoln Corps and friend of First Presbyterian Church North Pelham. Predeceased by her husband Adam, infant son Brian and her parents Peter and Katherine Strychalski. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church North Pelham on Monday April 30th at 2:00 P.M. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Passed away on Saturday April 14, 2018 at Woodlands of Sunset in her 88th year. Loving mother of Bart and Lance (Paula). Dear Grandmother to Justine and Samantha. Freda was predeceased by her husband Thomas and daughters Heather and Susan. Respecting Freda’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. Passed away peacefully at Northland Pointe in Port Colborne on Sunday April 8, 2018 in her 91st year. She was predeceased by her loving husband Wilfred and parents Lilian and Richard Tillett. She leaves her loving children Steve (Laurie), Peter (Janine) and Tracy (David). Also her Grandchildren Trevor, Ryan (Crystal), Daniel, Patrick (Becky), Kira, Dylan and Megan (Levi) and Great Grandchildren Adian, Elliott, Noa and Leah. Respecting Graces wishes cremation has taken place. A private family service will take place at a later date. Dear Grandmother to nine and Great Grandmother to nine. Grace is survived by numerous brothers and sisters. Predeceased by her husband Jack and grandson Jacobus. Resting at the LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME 724 Canboro Road Fenwick for funeral service in the Lampman Chapel on Monday April 9th at 11:00 A.M. Interment to follow at Vineland Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday April 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.

Passed away at Welland Hospital on Thursday March 29, 2018 at the age of 89. Loving father of Marylou Smith (Bob), Larry, Gary (Lisa), Rick and Lori Roepke (John). Dear Grandfather to eight and Great Grandfather to five. Harold is survived by his brother Bill and sisters Verla Cosby and Marion Martin (Ken). Predeceased by his wife Reta (1994) and son Billy (1987). Resting at the LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick for funeral service in the Lampman Chapel on Wednesday April 4th at 11:00 A.M. Interment at Hillside Cemetery in Ridgeville to follow. Visitation will take place one hour prior to service.In lieu of flowers donations to The Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

On Wednesday March 21, 2018 at the age of 95, the Lord in His infinite wisdom called unto Himself our Mother and Beppe. Predeceased by her husband Jelle (1998). Loving mother of Raymond & Jenny (Lonny 2007) DeVries, Epp & Diana DeVries, Ann & Bill VanLochem, (Jessie 2015) & Ben Bruining, Vicky & Jim Stienstra, Harry &Nancy Devries, Leo & Margaret DeVries, John & Joanne DeVries, and Dear Beppe to 29 Grandchildren (Jeffrey Bruining 1997), and 76 Great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Mountainview Christian Reformed Church, 290 Main St E, Grimsby on Sunday, March 25. Friends and family may visit from 2-4 and 7-9. Celebration of Mom’s life will be on Monday, March 26 at 11am. at Mountainview Christian Reformed Church.  Private interment in the morning. Special thanks to Shalom Manor for the care they gave Mom over the past years. Donations to Shalom Manor would be appreciated by the family.

Haist Cecil David passed away peacefully at home Tuesday February 27, 2018 in his 93rd year. Loving father of Charine Brown (and her late husband Walter), Randall Haist (Cindy), Ronald Haist, Janice Zwier (Martin), and Carol Molnar. Loving Grandfather to Nathan (Cara), Melissa, Zachary (Lori), Ashley, Amanda, Kirstin (Tyler), Emily, Dylan, and Kyle. Great Grandfather to Ivy, Ava, Aiden, Luke, Lily, Nevaeh, Mason, Nora and Holden. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday March 10th at Pelham Centre Community Church, 461 Canboro Road, Fenwick. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Interment will follow the Memorial service at Hillside Cemetery in Ridgeville where dad will finally rest beside his late wife Rita Mae Haist.
