Dorothy Eileen (Crowe) Haist. 1922-2026 Passed away peacefully May 10 in her 104th year. Dorothy graduated from the Mack School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1944 and spent the next few years nursing at the St. Catharines General Hospital until starting a family. She later returned to nursing, working at the Welland General Hospital on Riverside Drive, until the new hospital was opened. She spent a few years there working in the Emergency Department and then became Head Nurse of Emergency. She spent the rest of her career there until her retirement. She was predeceased by her husband Harold and daughter Jane. Cremation has taken place and a private family ceremony will be held at a later date.
