On April 8, 2026, in Welland, Mom passed away peacefully at the age of 92.
Predeceased by her husband, Gordon (Scott), Mom will be deeply missed by her children, Wendy
Cuiper (Rick), Kim Earle (Harvey), Terry Portelance (Bob Braun), Darren (Cheryle) and Dana Hart
(Kelly). She was a loving Nana to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she will be
fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, as well as her brother-in-law and sister-in-law.
Born in Toronto to Nell and William Aylett, Mom was predeceased by her sister, Winnifred (Orr), and
her brother, Charles (Chuck) Aylett.
Mom will be remembered for her quiet strength, her devotion to her family, and the steady love she
showed to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Mom’s dedication to family, while also working full time, created a lifetime of beautiful memories
that will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
The family would like to extend our sincere appreciation and thanks to the dedicated staƯ at
Woodlands of Sunset in Welland for their care and compassion. A special thank you to Karen at
Sandra’s Home Health Care for her dedication and friendship over the past several years.
In keeping with Mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral
service.
