IN LOVING MEMORY

February 8th 1968 – August 11th 2025

James David, of Hamilton and formerly of Fenwick, passed away on August 11th, 2025, at the age of 57.

Fondly remembered by his sisters – Robin Levasseur, Anita Levasseur, Monica Gerritsen, and Rosie (Lonnie) Workman.Preceded in death by Brother Steven Levasseur, Father Jean Claude Levasseur & Mother Edith Levasseur, Uncle Karl (Christa) Blankenburg, Uncle Hans Otto Blankenburg,and Nephew Jessie Levasseur. He leaves behind nephews Cory, Christopher, Michael, Kyle and Colin, niece Jenna, Aunt Connie, great nieces and nephews and cousins in Ontario, Quebec and Germany.

He was known as James to many in Hamilton, but growing up we knew and called him David. He was the youngest of 6 children and our little brother. He had many friends in Hamilton and Leslie North of Fenwick was a true friend for many years. He enjoyed nature, hiking, camping, fishing, cooking, playing guitar, and listening to music.

Although our “little” brother had many challenges with his mental health, he was known to have a kind and generous heart, frequently giving to others what little he had. He also had a good sense of humour and was always planning for a positive direction in his life where he had hopes and dreams about a home of his own, a career and a future. His needs were simple.

A few years ago he lived at C More’s Villa, a resident care facility in Hamilton, while he recovered from surgery to regain back his eyesight. We are very grateful to the wonderful staff that cared for him during that time- Fred Seymour, Pat, Melissa and Michelle.

He had many helpers and angels along the journey of his life those at The Good Shepherd, The Mission & The Salvation Army, Mens YMCA volunteers, & The Hamilton Hub – Especially Jennifer Bonner (Social Worker/Patient Caring Angel).Thank you to all who took the time to get to know him and care about him.

In keeping with James David’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take be held at a later date.

If desired, donations in James David’s memory to The Hamilton Hub, The Good Shepherd, Salvation Army, YMCA or The Mission would be appreciated by the family.

Patricia Altha Bartlet (Walmesley) was promoted to glory on August 7th, 2025 at age 96. She faithfully endured until her race was run. Now, her faith has become sight! Pat was born on March 16, 1929 in Ottawa, Ontario. As a child, Pat and her mother lived with her grandparents, whom Pat loved. Pat also lived in Montreal as a young adult. After finishing her nursing training, she moved to Hamilton to live with her aunt and uncle. While living there, she met Ted (Edgar) Bartlet. Pat and Ted were married from Ted’s family home in Windsor  on January 20, 1951. In 1953 they purchased an old red brick farm house near Fonthill which is where their 4 children were all born and raised. Anne (Dave) Wilson, Jean (Ian) Bamford, Janet (Kyle) Moate, and Bruce (Karen) Bartlet. In 1967 Pat met Jesus, and joyfully gave her life to serving and loving Him in everything she did. Pat was blessed to continue to live in her beloved home for 72 years, until Jesus came to take her home to heaven to be with Him forever. First and foremost, Pat loved and cared for her husband and children. Throughout her life, Pat held an unwavering faith in God. As a testament to her life and love of Jesus, all 4 of her children and many of her grandchildren and great grandchildren also know and love Jesus. Her life was a wonderful testimony to His love, grace and mercy. She was an active member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Fonthill from the 1950’s to a few years ago when she no longer was able to drive. Pat also loved sewing, gardening, reading, and any form of bible study to help her know her Lord better. Pat now joins her beloved husband Ted and some of her best friends in Heaven. What a wonderful reunion that will be! Pat is survived by all 4 of her children and their spouses, 10 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. When you think of her, know that her last wish for you would be that you would know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour too. Ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened for you. We thank Jesus for our wonderful mother and grandmother and her life of loving and serving Him and all of the family He gave her. We confidently look forward to seeing her again in heaven.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, August 20th, at Westburne Alliance Church, 237 Rykert Street, St. Catharines, ON. A lunch reception for friends and family will follow. Patricia’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate Personal Support Workers and the Palliative Care Team, whose dedication and kindness brought comfort to Pat and her loved ones over many months.

We are sad to announce the passing of Leona Gracey on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at the age of 96. She is now reunited with her beloved husband Nolan Gracey. Loving mom of Brian Gracey and Shelly (Brian) Damude. Cherished grandma of Brianna, Brandon, Josh, Liam and Aldin. Predeceased by her sons Dean and Dale.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas “Tommy” Peacock on June 10, 2025 in his 75th year. Survived by his siblings Gary (Mary), Doug (Sharon) and Ken (Denise). He will be missed by nieces and nephews Sally (Jason), Dougie (Crystal) and Paisley, Lorie (Alex), Kenny (Chelsea) and Brady, Tyler (Fiona) and Rob (Grace). Predeceased by his parents Ken and Jessie, his brother Lenny and niece Julie.

It is with saddened hearts the family of Anne Helen Pater, announces she has passed away at the St Catharines Hospital on Thursday, May 29^th, 2025 at the age of 73, She was born on August 2^nd, 1951 to her parents, George and Anne Kowalski, both deceased. She was raised on the family farm on Foss Road. Anne married the love of her life, Kors on September 5^th, 1970 and moved to St. Catharines. They eventually bought a house on Else Street, where they raised their family. Anne was a stay at home mother for many years. When she returned to the workforce, she spent many years at the St. Catharine’s Public Library. After retirement, Anne spent her time as the “lunch lady” at Lincoln Centennial School. Anne will be joining her beloved husband, Kors, in heaven. She is survived by their 3 children, Kors (Heather), Lori (Benjamin) and Jeremy. Anne was the blessed Grandmother of 10 grandchildren, Kwynn, Aidan (Piper), Jakob, Matthew, Kayla, Auggie, Grayce, Kaden, Tyler and Zachariah. She will be greatly missed by her siblings, Peter, (Terry), Marilyn, and Joanne (Ken), and her sisters-in-law Klazina (Dick), Klara (Al), and Elizabeth (David). Anne will be fondly remembered by extended family and friends especially the neighbourhood on Else Street. Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 5^th from 11 -12 p.m. at Lampman Funeral Home, 724 Canboro Rd., Fenwick, with a Funeral Service at 12 Noon. Interment in Hillside Cemetery, Ridgeville. Many thanks to the staff at Linhaven on the Dalhousie ward and the staff of 4a at the St. Catharines Hospital. Andrew Postma, a devoted servant of Christ, went to be with his Lord and Saviour on the morning of May 15, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on May 2, 1940, Andy lived a life marked by steadfast faith, humility and a bold strength, always trusting in God’s sovereign grace.
He was the beloved husband of Jennie, his faithful companion and dearest friend throughout 63 blessed years of marriage.

Andy was a father to Janette (Bryan) Zomer, Chris, and Andrew. He was lovingly known as Gramps to his granddaughters, Tara (Warren) Deboer and Natasha (Adrian) Korevaar, who cherished his steady presence, wisdom and love which he expressed more in actions than words. He was also deeply loved by his five great grandchildren: Rebekah, Kate, Seth, Elliot and Jonah. He was a caring brother and uncle, whose faithful presence will be remembered fondly.

Andy’s life was testament to his deep faith and commitment to the truths of Scripture. His legacy of love and devotion to Christ will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones for visitation on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Wellandport United Reformed Church. Interment will take place at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Wainfleet. For those who wish to attend the burial, please meet at Wellandport URC at 9:30am on Thursday, May 22, 2025 to process to the cemetery. A funeral service will follow at 11:00am at Wellandport United Reformed Church in Wellandport, Ontario.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to Heritage Christian School or Cairn Christian School would be appreciated by the family.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Irvine “Irv” Muir on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at the age of 86. He is now reunited with his beloved wife Carol (2012). Loving father to Glenn, Ron (Kim) and Alan (Paula). Cherished papa to Brock (Rachel), Rebecca (Andrew), Mitchell (Ashley) and AJ. Special great grandfather to Aurora and Atlas. Survived by his sister Barb (Gary) and sister in law Margo. He will be missed by his extended family and friends. Predeceased by his brother Doug.

Irv received his funeral director license from the Canadian School of Embalming in Toronto in 1962 and started his career in Marmora, Ontario. He met his wife to be Carol and they were married in 1957. They were called back to Niagara in 1964 to help with the Lampman family business. In 1973, Irv and Carol took over both Lampman Funeral Home and Lampman Furniture Store, incorporating into Lampman-Muir Ltd, where the 114 year old business still runs strong today.

Irv and Carol were both active supporters in the community with donations and sponsorships of local churches, service clubs, schools and sports teams. Irv also showed off his prized car collection, (1917 Ford Model-T pick up truck, 1955 Thunderbird and more!), often touring his antique vehicles through local parades.

Irv received his 50 year Volunteer Firefighter service award from the Fenwick Firefighters Association in 2023 as well as his 50 year service award from the Fabulous Fenwick Lions Club in 2019. He was a long time member of Fenwick United Church where he was a Board Member and often an usher.

Irv was a hardcore fan of both the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays and you could often find a game on the TV in his room at Woodlands of Sunset. He loved his dogs Casey and especially Katie and spent many holidays at the family cottage on Lake Erie and later Horn Lake, where he pursued his passion of hunting and fishing.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Woodlands of Sunset for their compassionate and kind care of Irv.

All will be welcomed to visit Irv’s family on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025 from 4-6pm and 7-9pm at Lampman Funeral Home, 724 Canboro Rd, Fenwick, L0S 1C0. A private family service will take place. Memorial donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Parkinson’s Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Lampman Funeral Home.

April 30, 1933—May 13, 2025

It is with sadness that we bid a final farewell to our father Robert (Bob) Tyminski. He departed peacefully on May 13 at the age of 92; Bob was predeceased by his loving wife of 68 years, Janette (Garrie). He was proud to reach his goal of being the longest living Tyminski!

Bob will be greatly missed by his children: Ann-Marie (Rick) Smith, Tony (Laura) and Rob (Leigh-Anne). He was a proud “Papa” who greatly enjoyed spending time with all his grandchildren. In his later years, he was also blessed with four great-grandchildren.

Bob had a passion for horses from a young age. His biggest accomplishment was building his dream home on a small acreage in North Pelham that included a barn and a couple horses. It was there that “Bobbers” could usually be found working in his garden or puttering in the garage. He busied himself with endless projects, always looking for something to do. His mind was constantly thinking of how to fix or improve things, with the hopes of inventing something remarkable.

The retirement years were spent boating and fishing at their trailer in Parry Sound, where many new friendships were formed. Bob’s last years of his life were shared between St. Charles Village and Royal Rose Place in Welland. He was always quick with a smile and loved to joke with the staff who offered their assistance. He was grateful for the care he received and especially fond of the amazing view he had from his window on the third floor at Royal Rose.

Please join us at Lampman Funeral Home 724 Canboro Rd., Fenwick on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, for a visitation at 11 a.m. and service at 1 p.m.; as the family was unable to gather in 2020 after Mom’s passing, the service will celebrate the lives of Mom and Dad together. A private family interment will follow.
