BARTINUS ELMERS

ELMERS,  BARTINUS – on Tuesday December 31, 2013 at Shalom Manor in Grimsby, The Lord in his grace and wisdom has taken home Bart Elmers.  Predeceased by his loving wife Tina.  Loving father of Rene Teitsma (John), Bertha Burke (Brian), and Al Elmers (Kathy).  Loving Opa to Leanne, Wendy (Dan), Brad (Courtney), Dan (Hilda), Victoria (Larry), Jamie (Curtis), Brett, Jasmin (Eli), Dawn and Crystal.  Great Opa to seven.  Remembered by his stepchildren John, Marina, Evelyn, Ruth (Wade),  and their mother Wilma, and four stepgrandchildren.  The Funeral Service will take place  on Friday January 3, 2014 at the Wellandport United Reformed Church at 11:00 A.M.  Visitation will be on Thursday January 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Church.  A special thank you to the staff at Shalom Manor.  Donations to Shalom Manor would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements entrusted to the LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME, 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick.  905-892-4701.  www.lampmanfuneralhome.com

 

DOUGLAS CHARLES COMFORT

COMFORT, DOUGLAS CHARLES – on Monday December 16, 2013 at the Welland County General Hospital, Doug Comfort of Fenwick in his 57th year.  Beloved son of Joan.  Loving dad to Stanley and Andrew.  Doug is survived by his wife Denise and brothers Terry (Carole) and Mark.  Predeceased by his father Harold (1979).  Resting at the LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME, 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick for Funeral Service in the LAMPMAN CHAPEL on Thursday December 19th at 10:00 A.M.  Interment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens in Fonthill to follow.  Visitation will be on Wednesday December 18th from 6-9 P.M.  Donations to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

MR. HARRY MILLET MOSLEY

MOSLEY,  MR. HARRY MILLET –  Passed away on Thursday November 14, 2013 with his family by his side at the age of 88.  Loving husband to Gloria, and dear father of Todd (MaryAnn), Simon and Kola.  At Harry’s request Cremation has taken place.  There wll be no visitation or funeral.  Flowers and donations are gratefully declined.  Arrangements entrusted to the LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME, 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick.

 

GARY LAURENCE KELLEY

KELLEY,  GARY LAURENCE – passed away on November 4, 2013 at The Villages in Florida, in his 65th year.  (Born November 19, 1948 in Wolfville, Nova Scotia).  Gary was a member of the Seymour Masonic Lodge No. 277, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 613, and was a Veteran of the United States Army (Medical Corp.)  Gary was a loving husband to Julie (nee Balabas) of Kitchener, father to Sean with Jennifer, and Meagan with Kyle of London.  Beloved Papa to grandchildren Jackson and Spencer of London.  Baby brother to Eileen Ryan, and Perry Kelley with Barbara Kelley of The Villages in Florida, and Sharon Margeson with Howard Margeson of Fonthill.  Uncle, best friend and trusted advisor to a very many Nieces and Nephews across both Canada and the United States.  Predeceased by his parents Laurence and Pansy Kelley.  Cremation has taken place.  A Memorial Service will take place at the LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME, 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick on Thursday November 14, 2013 at 1:00 P.M.  Interment of ashes to follow at a later date at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.  Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Gary’s memory.

THERESSA BRACKEN

BRACKEN,  THERESSA – on Friday November 8, 2013 at her late residence in Wellandport.  Theressa was in her 72nd year.  Loving wife to Bob.Dear mother of Bev Blanchard (Jerry) and Cheryl Evers (Clarence).  Loving grandmother to Kyra, Eric and Nicole.  Great grandmother to Hunter.  Survived by her brother Tom Shearing (Peggy) and sister Debbie Bosada (Larry).  The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Hughes and his staff and the Parameds who gave loving care to Theressa.  Resting at the LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME, 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick for Funeral Service in the LAMPMAN CHAPEL on Tuesday November 12th at 2:00 P.M.  Interment at Zion Cemetery in Wainfleet to follow.  Visiting Monday November  11th from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.  Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the Family.

Vandenberg Nell (nee Vanleeuwen)
Peacefully at his appointed time the Lord took home Nell Vandenberg on Sunday November 3, 2013 in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Jacob Vandenberg. Loving mother of Liz and Abe Vermeer (both deceased), Bill and Ann Vandenberg, Anne and Rick Tigchelaar, Tina and Bill Vahrmeyer, Nellie andClarence Sikma, Peter and Linda Vandenberg, Ron and Nancy Vandenberg and Mary-Jane and Neil VanGeest. Nell will be lovingly remembered by her 31 grandchildren and spouses, 102 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. Predeased by 2 grandchildren Ann-Mary Vermeer and Nico Shreutelkamp. Nell is survived by 3 sisters, 2 sisters in law and many nieces and nephews. Mom passed away at Shalom Manor where she made many friends with staff and residents. A very special thanks to all those at Shalom Manor for their excellent care. Friends and family will be received at Grimsby Mountain View Christian Reformed Church 290 Main Street East Grimsby on Wednesday November 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. A private graveside family service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. All family and friends are invited to a memorial service of praise and thanksgiving which will be held at Grimsby Mountain View Christian Reformed Church on Thursday November 7th at 2:00 P.M. If desired memorial donations to Shalom Manor would be appreciated by the family.

SUPERKA, MARION EVELYN (nee Vanderburg) – at the Hamilton General Hospital on Thursday October 17, 2013, Marion Superka of Fonthill in her 79th year.  Loving mother of Laurie Priestley (Marc), Brent (Suzanne), and Jeff (Denise).  Loving Nana to Lee (Kelly), Blake (Meagan), Marc Jr., Melyssa, Carley and Tanner.  Super Nana to Amelia and Sophi.  Fondly remembered by Shelley Digioia and Joe Priestley and their families.  Predeceased by her husband John.  Resting at the LAMPMAN FUNERAL HOME, 724 Canboro Road, Fenwick for Visitation on Sunday October 20th from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.  The Funeral Service will be conducted from the Fonthill United Church on Monday October 21st at 1:30 P.M.  Interment at Fonthill Cemetery to follow.  Donations to Pelham Cares or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.  www.lampmanfuneralhome.com
